Groups Welcomes Better Life Partners to Growing Care Network

Bringing together Better Life Partners’ flexible model with Groups’ scale and clinical excellence

Groups is expanding its care network to include Better Life Partners, bringing together two organizations with deep roots in New England addiction treatment. This partnership gives Better Life Partners members fast access to a more comprehensive set of treatment options, backed by the combined clinical resources of both organizations.

Expanded Care Options Through the Same Trusted Care Delivery Partners

Addiction recovery doesn't follow a set schedule, but for people in rural communities, treatment often does. The nearest in-person provider can be an hour or more away. Waitlists stretch on for weeks. Work, childcare, or a lack of transportation can get in the way.

Fast access, flexible scheduling, and virtual care that meets people where they are can be the difference between staying in treatment and falling through the cracks.

That's the gap this partnership is designed to close. Through our expanded offering, members will access a wider network of services, including:

  • Same- or next-day access to medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), so members can start treatment right when they're ready
  • Expanded treatment and support for alcohol use disorder (AUD) and other substance use disorders
  • Flexible group therapy options including weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions to fit each person's recovery pace
  • Virtual Responsive Care (VRC) for clinical support between scheduled appointments, when it's needed most
  • Psychiatric medication management including evaluations, prescribing, follow-up care, and bridge support, so mental health and addiction care work together
  • Medical care for common health needs like infections, minor illnesses, and acute pain management, addressed as part of overall care
  • Convenient access to both virtual and in-person care

Built on a Shared Commitment to Recovery

Better Life Partners has always believed that recovery looks different for everyone, which is why people need care that meets them where they are. Joining the Groups network doesn't change that commitment—it strengthens it. By combining Better Life Partners' community-based, flexible model with Groups' scale and clinical infrastructure, members gain faster access to treatment and a wider range of services.

"This partnership is an opportunity to strengthen two mission-driven organizations, broaden the scope of services for our members, and improve access to treatment," said Cooper Zelnick, CEO of Groups. "I'm honored to support such clinically excellent teams and help continue their impact across New England."
